Lawmakers returned from Easter break and to committee work and floor votes. The Senate continues its work on the State Budget. The legislative Crossover deadline is May 4.
Despite NCGA being on spring break, the House continued to file bills and the Senate referred bills to committees for later discussion. The House bill filing deadline is April 18.
Gov. Roy Cooper delivered his State of the State address Monday. The Republican response was given by Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson. Lawmakers continued committee hearings, floor votes, and bill filings.
Lawmakers continued to debate significant legislative priorities and leadership reached an agreement on Medicaid expansion. On March 6, Gov. Cooper will give his State of the State address.
