In the past week, lawmakers at the North Carolina General Assembly took a spring break. Though not in Raleigh, the House continued to file bills and the Senate referred bills to committees for later discussion.
In the coming week, the House and Senate return to the Capitol for committee hearings. The House has a bill filing deadline on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
