Last week, lawmakers were in Raleigh to hold committee hearings and have floor votes. This week, the House and Senate will continue debating and passing legislation as budget negotiations continue.

Last week, both chambers slowed after the rush to the Crossover deadline. This week, Senate will continue budget work.
There was significant legislative activity this week ahead of the May 4 Crossover deadline. In the coming week, The House will not hold any votes and Senate will continue work on the State Budget.
Lawmakers returned from Easter break and to committee work and floor votes. The Senate continues its work on the State Budget. The legislative Crossover deadline is May 4.
Despite NCGA being on spring break, the House continued to file bills and the Senate referred bills to committees for later discussion. The House bill filing deadline is April 18.
